Logistics management is the part of supply chain management that plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective, forward, and reverse flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer's requirements.
- Ability to handle technical details relating to possibly international transportation, such as customs regulations and any necessary documentation.
- Efficiently evaluate the costs of transportation, services and inventory within any budget or distribution strategy.
- Knowledge of national and international import/export legislation and able to effectively troubleshoot any issues that may arise in international freight transportation.
- Ability to build relationships with Logistics mediators and work closely with package engineers to ensure the protection of freight in transportation.
- Proficient in documentation and organisation with the ability to deal with any changes to operating procedures, prioritization or any problems.
